My Felting classes explore Flat Felting, Nuno-Felting, and Sculptural (hollow form) Felting techniques. You will learn about the different types of wools used in felting to gain an understanding of the importance of choosing the right wool for your projects. Different wools have various shrinkage rates, structure and properties.  Wool Roving, such as Merino, is used for wearables such as scarves, dresses and tunics, and are softer against the skin. Other wool breeds, such as Corriedale are better for sturdier projects, such as jackets, vests, and sculptural projects. You will learn how to plan your design, calculate the amount of wool needed for completion and how to use a resist template for seamless, hollow form projects. 

Felting is a fun and highly creative process requiring no prior art skills, just a desire to use your imagination and creatively explore working with the beautiful, vibrant colors of wool  So, if you want to create something artistically functional to wear, carry or display, come try my classes in Felting.
